Yeah, I can now play songs on the guitar!

On a shiny and fantastic day,I had my guitar lesson. First I woke up with a fright because my alarm clock did not go off, so I had to get ready as fast as a cheetah. When it was around 9:30, I practised on my guitar until it was 10 o'clock. Then it was time to go so my mum and I raced to the car and we drove to my guitar class.

                    After a couple of minutes, I have arrived at my destination. Then I crossed the road with fear because there were a lot of cars, and they were like speeding bullets. It was cold inside the classroom, so I ran around the hall and said " Hello" to my teacher. After a few minutes I saw my friend Evelen so I sat down next to her.Our teacher told us to play a song that involved these notes A,B,C C chord,F,E,B chord,E,D A miner and then D,C, E chord.It was really hard but I managed to play it when my teacher helped me. After that we completed a challenge where we had to play the first to the last string.
                 Before long, our teacher our teacher taught us another song, we played A,B,C,D,E,F,G and the low A,B,C,D,E,F,G. That was really fun because we all had to play it really quickly. I felt really nervous because we sat in a circle and we all had to share what we have learnt. I went first, I shared the first song which had A,B,C C chord, F,E, B chord,E,D, A miner, D,C E chord. My teacher said "Great job" and I was really happy about that.
               Then, we all went off into pairs and I went with Evelen because I needed to teach her a song that I know. We played and played until we finished the song. After a while we all went into a circle again so that each pair could play a song. After the first pair went, it was our turn to play a song. We both decided to not play the A,B,C song instead we played another song. After we played our teacher said " Well done" and we were both very happy about it. Then it was 11 o'clock so I said "Goodbye" and left. It was so weird because it was like the time had sped and my lesson ended so quickly.
                Today was really fun and exciting because I learnt new chords and notes that I could share with my family and friends.

Have you ever been to a play date before?

Image result for play dateOn one shiny and beautiful day, Cheska and I planned to play at the park with one other. We planned to have our play date at Dunkirk park. First I woke up in the morning after a wonderful dream, it was as if I could hear singing and the smell of flowers in my room. After that I had toast and porridge.                          Then, when it was 10 am, Cheska called me and said, "Hi Kayla, we can go at the park at 3pm?" I agreed and packed some snacks to have.I quickly got dressed as fast as a motorcycle racing at 2:30 pm. Then it was 3:00. My cousin and I walked to the park and we waited for Cheska to come.
                           While we were at the park, I built a wooden slide that worked. Then Cheska came (finally!). I showed her my wooden slide and we played on it. After that we both sat down and ate our snacks. Cheska brought crackers, juice and oreos. I brought some cookies. The snacks were yummy and I felt like I was a Chocolate land with Cheska.                          Before long, we played tag with Cheska's little brother and he was the tagger. Then we went on the swings and had a competition of who could swing the highest. After that, we raced and climbed on the tree because we were scared of a huge dog. Finally we got down and went on the slides. That was my favourite part because I like that feel of the wind in my hair when I am on the swing. Then it was time to go home so we said, "Goodbye!"                           Today was fantastic because I got to play lots of games with Cheska and her little brother.Maybe we will able to play longer next time if we met up earlier.

Aotea centre is the best!

Image result for aotea centreOn Friday the 3rd of July, our whole school went on a trip. I enjoyed the part when the professionals performed on stage, because I saw the shapes that they were making through their movements. I also like the part when our class and Room one went into a dark room to watch a story. The story was about two people that went up to the mountain so that they can blow the smoke away from their town. Another thing that I enjoyed was when we all went to the bottom level in the building to try out a piece of digital art. When we blew into the phone, the screen in front of us has a face that changes.

We are learning to write a description.
Success criteria: I know this when I describe my favourite parts about our Art learning day.

Mum, can I sign up for more guitar lessons?

On a bright and shiny Saturday morning I had a guitar lesson. I woke up at 8.30 with fear because I had a nightmare about being chased by zombies. Then I got ready and went to have some breakfast. I had some porridge and toast. It was the yummiest breakfast ever.
         After I had breakfast my mum and I hopped into the car and we went my guitar lesson. When I got there, it was raining cats and dogs so I ran into my class. When I went in I saw everyone sitting in a circle so I joined in. Then my teacher asked, "Can you play the Spanish song with Launoa?"
"Sure", I said so Launoa and I played and it was fantastic because we played all the right notes.
             Before long, Cocoa (my partner) taught me to play all the notes. We started with A,B,C and D then E,F,G. My partner gave me a note and I played it. Then Cocoa and I had a contest on how fast we could play the notes from A to G.Afterwards Cocoa and I played for my teacher and I felt nervous like I was on stage.
         When it was nearly 11 o'clock my teacher tested me on the notes and I nailed it. After that, I played the notes and the Yankee doodle song in the C note and the D note again for him. Finally it was time to go home so I said, "Goodbye, see you next term!"
           Today was awesome but I feel sad because this is the last class for Term two. However I had a really great time because I learnt new songs and chords.
