What do you know about Advent?

Screenshot 2016-11-29 at 09.26.20.png
Advent is a time before Christmas where we  prepare for Jesus’ arrival. The first day of advent was in New Zealand on Sunday the 27th of November. Advent is a period of four Sundays preparing for Jesus’ coming and remembering the real meaning of Christmas. There are three reasons of how us Christians describe Advent. The first and most important is when Jesus came into this world and died to sacrifice our sins. Secondly is happening right now as our Christ Lord wants to come into our lives. Lastly, will happen in the future when Jesus Christ will come into our lives as a King and Judge of our world. There are four candles representing the eternity of our God. The candles are used for every week of Advent, there are 3 purple candles and 1 pink, each of the candles represent faith, love, joy and peace.

What saint did you choose?

Screenshot 2016-11-02 at 08.30.44.pngWhen it is time for my  confirmation, the saint I would choose would be Saint Ignatius, because he was a sinner and became a follower of Jesus. During his time on earth, he was responsible for the death of many people because of war. One day, Ignatius made the decision that he did not want to live his like that anymore. He became a humble man, like all the other people in the village. He went from being a prince to becoming a beggar, who would beg food and money and donate it all to the local orphanage and the people in need the most.
