Hey everybody, do you want to go to my dance performance?

On Saturday the 23rd of September I had my dance performance at Te Oro in Glenn Innes.
First I washed my face and had my breakfast. For breakfast I had a pie from the bakery and it was delicious.

When I got there I ran inside and said, "Hello" to everyone in my class. Then we started off to sit into a circle to play the song called Ferolise. We all played the song very slowly.
After that, we all paired up so I went with Evelen. Evelen and I played the song Ferolise together and then we played a new song called Summertime.
Soon, it was time to go home so I said, "Goodbye" to my teacher and rushed to the car. When I got home I had 20 minutes in the shower and then I changed into my black clothes. When everybody was ready my mum, cousin, grandma and I went to my performance. While my mum was driving, my mum stopped to buy a clip for my hair so that I could put my hair into a bun
When we got there, I felt nervous but I had to believe in myself that I could do it.  Then, I went into a changing room where all my friends were getting ready to perform as well.
When it was time to perform, I gave my teacher a hug and a big thank you for all the effort that she has put into training us. While I was dancing my mum had a big smile on her face. This encouraged me to dance as well as I could. After the dance, my mum gave my teacher the lolly necklace to say thank you. Next, my friends and I took photos with each other. Then we took photos with our family members to remember this awesome day.
Today was a busy day but it was still a magical day filled with music and dancing. My favourite part of the day was when I took photos of my friends because we'll be able to look at that later on and remember what a wonderful day it was.

Have you ever been to a play date before?

Image result for play dateOn one shiny and beautiful day, Cheska and I planned to play at the park with one other. We planned to have our play date at Dunkirk park. First I woke up in the morning after a wonderful dream, it was as if I could hear singing and the smell of flowers in my room. After that I had toast and porridge.                          Then, when it was 10 am, Cheska called me and said, "Hi Kayla, we can go at the park at 3pm?" I agreed and packed some snacks to have.I quickly got dressed as fast as a motorcycle racing at 2:30 pm. Then it was 3:00. My cousin and I walked to the park and we waited for Cheska to come.
While we were at the park, I built a wooden slide that worked. Then Cheska came (finally!). I showed her my wooden slide and we played on it. After that we both sat down and ate our snacks. Cheska brought crackers, juice and oreos. I brought some cookies. The snacks were yummy and I felt like I was a Chocolate land with Cheska.                          Before long, we played tag with Cheska's little brother and he was the tagger. Then we went on the swings and had a competition of who could swing the highest. After that, we raced and climbed on the tree because we were scared of a huge dog. Finally we got down and went on the slides. That was my favourite part because I like that feel of the wind in my hair when I am on the swing. Then it was time to go home so we said, "Goodbye!"                           Today was fantastic because I got to play lots of games with Cheska and her little brother.Maybe we will able to play longer next time if we met up earlier.

Oh no, zombies are coming!

Once upon a time, there was a family who moved into a new house. They quickly their things and went into the house. The family lived around abanded houses. Once everything was moved into the house they cleaned up the house. The son went up to his room . He decided to work on his scariest prank ever.
After a while, the son and daughter went out to explore their new place. The son was 12 and the daughter was 14. While the parents were cleaning, they went down to the basement. There were webs and costumes in the basement. It felt like a Halloween store. While the children were walking to explore something walked past them. They felt frightened and goosebumps appeared all over their body so they ran back home as fast as they can because they were being chased by something. As soon as they got home they told their mum and dad about what happened. Suddenly they heard a strange sound and it was getting closer and closer to where they were. They felt terrified so they prayed to God to keep them safe .
A couple of hours later it was morning the kids woke up but the parents were still sleeping. The kids decided to cook breakfast, and then they saw someone going past them again. They went out to check who it was but they did not see anybody there.
Mean while the parents woke up and made breakfast for them selves. The kids were outside so the parents decided to join them mum said,What's going on?"
The children said, "L-look!"
The parents were shocked to see zombies destroying the trees and going into other peoples houses. The daughter said, "What are we going to do?"
The son and parents thought of something. They went down to the basement to get zombie costumes and they put them on.
Before long they put their costumes on they pretended to be zombie. The zombies outside did not realize that they were humans so they did not harm them. They got inside and destroyed everything in there. The family couldn't do anything but pray that they will stop and leave them alone. Then one zombie said, "April fools!"
They were not zombies after all they were cousins who made a prank to scare them for April fool's day.
